Collection: Pablo Picasso
Pablo Ruiz Picasso (1881–1973) was a Spanish painter and sculptor, recognized as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He was born in Málaga on October 25, 1881, and from a very young age showed exceptional talent for art. Artistically known as Pablo Picasso, he is especially remembered for creating Cubism alongside Georges Braque. Throughout his career, he developed different stylistic periods and explored disciplines such as ceramics, bronze sculpture, and collage. In 1895, he moved with his family to Barcelona, where he came into contact with artists and intellectuals who gathered at the bar Els Quatre Gats. Between 1901 and 1904, he resided in Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris, a period in which he began his blue period, influenced by symbolism.
